Join us to celebrate the end of the school year on the highest of notes! Six instructor-led student ensembles from the Contemporary Music & Technology Program will take to the stage in an unforgettable night of originals and covers.
The Lineup
The Selkirk Songwriters
This group is an exciting constellation of up-and-coming songwriters. Fresh and versatile, these star-bound writers and multi-instrumentalists journey from indie-folk to hip-hop, each song its own universe. Featuring Damien Alblas, Renzo Amasifuen Jara, Megan Carlson, Anna Hendry, Alex Leffelaar, James Perry, and Rayne Theisen with instructor Emily Millard.
The Selkirk R&B Ensemble
This group will perform a lively set of upbeat contemporary hits by artists such as Yebba, Vufpeck, the Black Pumas and Snarky Puppy. It features Hannah Ganesh, Jessie Heckel, Sofia Maria Fusco on vocals; Cody Elliot and Joey Wong on guitars; Anuj Sharma on keyboards; Nieva Cunningham on cello; and Don Macdonald on keyboard bass.
Ensemble XIII - Undertow Edition
Take a dive into the deep end of contemporary pop. Immerse yourself in a pool of wavy and danceable new classics, featuring Cameron Simon, Kalyan Rath, Nathan Fadden and Kadin Bergen on vocals; Cam Low on drums; Lance Macbain on bass; Kael Koteles on guitar; and Aarsh Shaw and Havelock John Tucker on keyboards.
Colonel Dave’s Prog Emporium!
Enjoy a journey through the epic landscape of progressive rock, including works by Pink Floyd, Genesis, Jethro Tull, and more! This group features Tirzah Vetter on vocals; Ben Warkentin on guitar, vocals and drum machine; Colby Greaves on keyboards and backing vocals; Sera Kate Stevens on keyboards, flute and backing vocals; Zac Evans on bass; and David Restivo on drums.
Kiss My Sass
Celebrate timeless songs by female artists and bands, including Heart, Miley Cyrus, No Doubt, Kate Bush, Rhianna and many more. The group consists of Jessica Maloney, Haleluya Hailu and Luzura Ramos-Swanston on vocals; Kael Koteles and Finley Kinghorn on guitar; Paris Pick on bass; Karissa Hanna on keyboards; and Joel Fountain on drums. Be ready to rock!
Full Metal Jacket Rock, Paper, Scissors ... Rock Always Wins
This group features Jessica Maloney and Dune MacDonald on vocals; Yeshua Arcos on vocals and keys; Jay Porteous, Ben Warkentin and Darren Mahe on guitars; Lance MacBain on bass; and Steven Parish on drums.
Doors open at 7 pm, the show starts at 7:30 pm.
Tickets are $10 or $5 for Selkirk College students. All proceeds will support scholarships for music students.
