Dr. Terri MacDonald is the Director, Applied Research and Innovation, at Selkirk College and is the senior educational administrator responsible for the oversight of Selkirk Innovates.
 

Terri holds a PhD in Educational Studies, an MA in Educational Policy and Administration, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education. Terri started her career as a high school science teacher, later becoming the owner of her own research consulting company before joining Selkirk College as the BC Regional Innovation Chair in Rural Economic Development. She has held the director role since 2018. 

Terri is a member of the Selkirk College Leadership Team, serves as a BC Applied Research and Innovation steering committee member, and is a member of Colleges and Institutes Canada National Research Advisory Committee. She envisions an expanded role for colleges as they innovate to meet the increasingly complex and rapid response needs of the communities and companies we serve. 

Terri was born and raised in Northern Ontario and is now living in the beautiful Slocan Valley in rural BC with her husband and daughter.
