LPN, PIDP
Instructor, Health Care Assistant
I am a proud graduate of Lethbridge College's 2013 Practical Nursing Program. In 2014, I started my teaching career with Lethbridge College in the Health Care Aide and Practical Nursing Program. When I wasn't teaching, I worked full-time as a community nurse in a wound and IV clinic. Although I loved my work in Lethbridge, life is an adventure, so I moved to the West Kootenay (summer of 2015) to be with my spouse.
Winter of 2015, I began teaching for Selkirk College part-time and continued casually working as an LPN for IHA in acute, residential and community care settings. On Valentine's Day 2019, my partner and I began a new chapter in our lives with the birth of our child—what an incredible journey becoming a parent has been so far. When I returned from my mat leave, I took on teaching full-time and continued to nurse casually for home health and home support in Trail.
I am incredibly passionate about health care and education. I genuinely believe that knowledge will help heal the world, and I consider myself a lifelong learner. In 2021, I finished my Provincial Instructor Diploma, and my next big educational goal is to complete my Master of Education. I enjoy reading, camping, crafting, taking care of my 100+ house plants, gardening and spending time with my family.
I look forward to being able to share space, stories, and experiences with future students. Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me.
