Education & Action

This content relates to residential schools and other sensitive subject matter you may find traumatic. We encourage you to care for your mental and emotional health and well-being. If you need support, please reach out to the National Residential School Crisis line at 1-866-925-4419 or to Counselling Services.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30 is a day to recognize the impacts of the Canadian residential school system and to honour the resilience and dignity of survivors, those who didn’t come home, and their families and communities. This day is an opportunity to build on our commitment to Indigenization and reconciliation in our community and beyond through observance, education and action.

Growing Our Collective Understanding

Join us for events, workshops, resources, learnings and more as we collectively seek to meaningfully move toward reconciliation. Please respectfully bear witness and observe while being mindful to not disrupt important teachings. This includes open and active listening.

Many Indigenous community members will be at the college in support of reconciliation, healing and cultural practice. Please extend kindness with a smile or by saying hello.

To contribute to assisting Indigenous students on their educational journey, give to the Rhonda Terbasket Indigenous Support Bursary.
