Post-Secondary Response to International Education Policy Changes

Recent changes to international education policies and processes by the federal government have prompted a response from associations representing post-secondary institutions across Canada. 

Colleges across British Columbia provide students with career-ready programs and an affordable post-secondary education that leads directly to employment. Changes to federal immigration policy by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will result in less opportunities for international students.

BC Colleges and Colleges & Institutes Canada (CICan) have both released formal statements addressing the impacts of the federal government’s new caps on international student enrolment and changes to work permit eligibility.
