As our world and our workplaces become more complex and diverse, managers and leaders need expanding skills. Developed in consultation with many of the largest employers in the West Kootenay/Boundary Region, this modular program will provide individuals with leadership skills and knowledge they can immediately employ in the workplace.
This highly interactive program fosters peer-to-peer learning while still providing flexibility for working professionals. Content is delivered through classroom sessions and our online learning platform. Instructed by Lesley Beatson, PhD.
Program Format
Delivered over four modules that are spread over six months, participants will learn from, and share experiences with, a supportive group of like-minded peers from various industries.
Each module has three classroom sessions, delivered one day per week, over three consecutive weeks. There are also several learning activities delivered online during each module.
The modules are sequential and cumulative, with each session building on the previous one. However, each session is also designed as a complete and separate learning experience.
Module 1 - Leadership Overview

You will become familiar with current models of leadership and be able to determine what model works best for you and your organization.
