Designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to correctly identify when it is necessary to administer supplemental oxygen. Participants will learn how to properly and safely handle and assemble the equipment and how to correctly deliver supplemental oxygen through the appropriate delivery device. No prerequisites are required. The certificate is valid for three years.
Manuals are not included in the tuition fee - students should bring their manuals from previous BLS/Oxygen courses or may purchase the "Canadian Red Cross Basic Life Support Field Guide" separately.
Completion requirements: 100% attendance, successful demonstration of skills, 75% on a closed book written exam
