Originally from the Bow Valley in Alberta, Brendan has had a life-long interest in subalpine and timberline forest communities. He completed a B.Sc. Hons. in Applied Environmental Biology at the University of Technology in Sydney

Ryan Bradshaw

Ryan comes from a mathematics and computer science background. He received a M.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Ottawa in 2013. During his M.Sc., his research was in transcendental number theory and diophantine approximations. Since then he has gained an interest in how mathematics can be used to solve real life problems. He has worked on projects in areas ranging from machine learning

Mark Dickieson

Mark has been living in the Nelson area for nearly 30 years and has been involved in the residential construction industry for most of that time. He has his own construction company doing mainly new home construction and is involved in almost all aspects from start to finish. He's eager to work with a new generation of aspiring carpenters and pass on the expertise he has gained through his own

NSLX 102 Beginners n̓səl̓xčin 2 is designed to help students to continue to develop Salish communication skills including: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students will also be introduced to some aspects of Sinixt culture.

Meet the makers of the Class of 2024! Fine Woodworking Class of 2024 Tables Tables are the first major projects that students design and build on their own accord. While all students are required to stay within certain size constraints and include a drawer and a mortise and tenon, the remaining design aspects are completely up to the maker.
