Ryan comes from a mathematics and computer science background. He received a M.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Ottawa in 2013. During his M.Sc., his research was in transcendental number theory and diophantine approximations. Since then he has gained an interest in how mathematics can be used to solve real life problems. Mark Dickieson

Mark has been living in the Nelson area for nearly 30 years and has been involved in the residential construction industry for most of that time. He has his own construction company doing mainly new home construction and is involved in almost all aspects from start to finish. While all students are required to stay within certain size constraints and include a drawer and a mortise and tenon, the remaining design aspects are completely up to the maker.

Selkirk College continually promotes and works toward beneficial agreements and partnerships between post-secondary institutions and community organizations both within Canada and abroad. Tracking Our Progress Each year, the college submits a three-year accountability plan and reports to the Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development.
