Support Continues Remotely
Selkirk College is still here to serve you, just a little differently. During COVID-19, we are providing confidential counselling appointments by phone and zoom. Appointments are free!
- Booked in advance through the Welcome Centre.
- 50 Minutes in length.
- Booked on the day of appointment – appointment times in available in the afternoon.
- 30 minutes in length.
- As we are not on campus, an on-call counsellor will be available daily (Monday - Friday) in the afternoons (1-4 pm) to provide Crisis Counselling to all students across all campuses.
- If a student is in need of crisis counselling/management, please call the Welcome Centre and they will direct you to the on-call counsellor for that day. Once contacted, the counsellor will call/set up a zoom link to support the student in crisis.

The counsellors at Selkirk College are professionals trained to provide a variety of counselling services. They assist students to gather information, make plans and decisions, put plans and decisions into action, generate options, cope with crisis, and understand themselves and others. When appropriate, referrals are made to community agencies and services.
