Originally from Revelstoke, Donna grew up in a CPR family that kept her family moving to different locations across Canada every couple of years. After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce from Montreal’s Concordia University, she moved back to Calgary for a position with the CPR in the Occupational Health & Safety Department.
Donna’s career at Selkirk College began in 2014 as an on-call employee and eventually landed her in the role of Health & Safety Advisor that saw her lead the operational response to COVID-19. Charged with creating policies and procedures, she helped ensure a healthy and safe environment for students/staff throughout the pandemic. Collaborating with colleagues and government officials from across the province, she sat on several committees that were key to helping post-secondary through the most challenging period of the pandemic and the restart planning.
Donna holds Professional Facilities Manager designation and is a lifelong learner. Her passion for helping create a vibrant learning environment at all Selkirk College locations is a cornerstone of success.
