Max is a faculty assistant in the Digital Fabrication & Design Program, combining hands-on experience and knowledge in advanced manufacturing. He assists students with their CAD/CAM processes and project management, focusing primarily on the hands-on aspects of their work. Max mentors students in using CNC machinery, helping them refine their technical skills while fostering creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Max’s passion for design and technology began in high school, where he developed skills in technical design software, 3D modeling, and animation. This interest led him to college studies in video game development before transitioning into a successful career as a Red Seal Automotive Service Technician.
Max shifted his career focus by enrolling in the Digital Fabrication & Design program, where he graduated with honours. He then joined the Selkirk Technology Access Centre (STAC) as a graduate intern, contributing to prototyping, process optimization and manufacturing assembly projects. This position evolved into a research assistant role, where he now divides his time between research and developing course content for advanced manufacturing programs in continuing education.
