Working at Selkirk College as part of the Nursing faculty since 2013 has been a privilege that continues to inspire my work-life while allowing me to continue to make meaningful contributions to the health care landscape.
As an RN for over 20 years and a passionate believer in equal health opportunity for disenfranchised populations, my nursing work has spanned a range of innovative community and street-level start-up health initiatives in BC that aim to deliver meaningful health care to identified high risk populations.
Drawing on the inherent leadership and creativity employed in those initiatives, part of my aim at Selkirk College is to do my best in sharing nursing knowledge and enrich the learning of our future nurses.
Outside work, my interests include art and music and soaking up the Kootenays outdoor activities with my family—biking, fishing, hiking camping, skiing...
