Types of Barriers
Barriers are obstacles to full participation in society and in our college community.
Accessibility challenges can be:
- Physical: doorknobs, ramps, elevators, signage, parking
- Technological: websites, software applications, captions
- Attitudinal: biases, micro aggressions, discrimination
- Informational: forms, plain language, colours, fonts
- Systemic: policies, procedures, services
