Course Add/Drop and Program Withdrawal Procedures
Please note, all students are subject to the Student Withdrawal and Refund Policy. A new, updated version of the Student Withdrawal Policy (8616) was passed by the Education Council in December 2021. Students should familiarize themselves with the details of the new policy.
Course Add Procedure
All international students must meet with a Selkirk College counsellor to add or drop courses.
Prior to the first day of the semester: Students are permitted to add and drop courses via the online student portal. Some programs have specific sections for specific program students. Please ensure that you are in the correct section for your program.
Weeks 1 and 2: Students are permitted to add and drop courses using a Course Registration Change Form. This form can be found online under Current Student Info (Student Records & Registration) or at Enrolment Services.
Week 3: No adding of courses is permitted.
Course Drop Procedure
Courses may be dropped using the Course Registration Change Form. This form can be found online under Current Student Info (Student Records & Registration) or at Enrolment Services.
If you do not complete a Course Change Form, this may result in a Did Not Withdraw (DNW) and no tuition refund. A DNW can have a negative impact on your overall Grade Point Average (GPA).
