Early Entrance Scholarship
Exciting news for those looking to Selkirk College for their post-secondary pathway!
The Board of Governor’s Early Entrance Scholarship is inviting future students to apply now and get off to the right start with awards valued between $500 and $1,000.
The deadline for students to apply for a post-secondary program, for Fall 2021, and be considered for the scholarship, is Monday December 14, 2020.
Who qualifies?

Canadian citizens or permanent residents who have graduated, or who are about to graduate, from secondary school.
- Graduation must be confirmed by August.

Students applying for the first time at Selkirk College in a full-time* (minimum 80% course load) post-secondary program**.
- *Students with a documented disability are eligible at a minimum 40% course load if registered with the Accessibility Services Department at Selkirk College.
- **Youth Train in Trades (YTT) or Apprenticeship programs are not eligible for Entrance scholarships.
How do I qualify?
- Apply for an eligible post-secondary program at Selkirk College between September and December 14th.
- You are automatically considered if you receive an acceptance letter (or conditional acceptance letter) from the Enrolment Services department before December 18, 2020. No other application is required.

You will require a minimum overall 80% GPA on the following four high school courses:
- English 11 or 12
- Math 11 or 12
- One Science 11 or 12
- Social Studies 11 or 12
- Submit your documents according to your conditional acceptance letter.
What happens next?
- Award recipients will be notified by email by the end of January 2020.
- Students must confirm whether the award will be accepted or declined by the requested deadline date.
- Students who have accepted an award will be requested to complete a Thank You letter to the donor. A link to an online form will be provided.
