I attended the Selkirk College’s hairdressing program right after graduating from high school. While in the program I learned that practice is critical to success and the reason I go to work is because there is a person sitting in my chair. Those skills and work ethic helped me to get to where I am today, the owner of a large thriving hair salon in Vancouver. When I’m not working, I travel as an educator for ‘P&G Salon Professionals’ – an international company. My future plans include continuing to do what I love and to continue to increase my presence in the education system. I enjoy spending my free time gardening and landscaping.
For close to 30 years, Union Salon co-owner and Creative Director Anthony Crosfield has been a highly admired and sought after hair stylist in Vancouver. He is the winner of Slice Network’s Superstar Hair Challenge, Season 2, having defeated 11 of the best stylists in Canada in a challenging 8 week competition. Fresh from his win, Anthony travelled to New York where as a Global Visionary for Wella International, I dazzled editors from Cosmopolitan, Elle, Flare, In Style, O and Marie Claire magazines with his creative talent and charisma.
My extensive credits include countless competitive trophies, editorial, film and television work. I am a member of the Global Design Team for Nioxin and a North American Platform Artist and Lead Educator for Wella Professionals. I do cuts, colours, styles, compete and teach the next generation of stylists. From competing in Hair World in Italy and Holland to my positions with the Cosmetology Association of BC, I am continuously involved in hair education. I have a great love for the industry, the people and the many challenges that come with it.
With an intense and unique cutting style, I describes myself as a ‘finishing fanatic’, arguing that the final details are what make a spectacular cut. A well rounded style expert who believes that ‘fashion is for the moment and style is for life’; I truly am the hair whisperer.
