Moving forward for rural health care
I was born and raised in the Kootenays and am currently in my third year of the Rural Pre-Medicine Program. Earlier this summer, I was feeling the financial strain due to the ongoing pandemic. I was so excited to find out that I won a scholarship, which made it possible for me to keep attending post-secondary. Becoming a doctor has been a dream of mine since I was a young girl, and this scholarship brings me closer to one-day returning to the Kootenay’s to practice medicine.
